Overturned semi spills grain on US 2/52 Bypass

Charles Crane/MDN North Dakota Highway Patrol and first responders manage traffic on U.S. 2/52 Bypass as tow-trucks prepare to remove a grain truck after it rolled Wednesday, Sept. 3.
A portion of U.S. 2/52 Bypass in Minot was temporarily closed Wednesday, Sept. 3, after a semi-truck hauling grain rolled and spilled grain onto the westbound lanes, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on the bypass just west of the South Broadway interchange at about 2:54 p.m., but the Highway Patrol was still investigating the circumstances as of late Wednesday. The truck was a 2008 Kenworth owned by All In Trucking, Inc., Williston.
The westbound lanes were closed until about 5:30 p.m., when a partial re-opening was possible. It was expected to take another 3-4 hours to clean up the grain before the highway could fully reopen.
There were no injuries, the Highway Patrol reported.
