Antler man dies in pickup crash near Maxbass

MAXBASS – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has reported the death of a 43-year-old Antler man whose pickup truck collided with a sprayer near Maxbass on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

According to the Highway Patrol, the Antler man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on 18th Avenue Northwest, about four miles northeast of Maxbass. At 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Chevrolet Silverado collided with a 2015 Case sprayer traveling eastbound at the intersection of 93rd Street Northwest, which is uncontrolled.

The driver of the Silverado was transported by ambulance to a Minot hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the sprayer, a 43-year-old Kenmare man, was not injured.

The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the Highway Patrol reported. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
