Search underway for missing woman

BELCOURT – Authorities in the Turtle Mountains and the family of Kristin Bruce have called on the public to assist in the search for Bruce, who was last seen the evening of May 27.
According to information from Turtle Mountain Impact, Bruce was last seen riding her bike at 10 p.m. on BIA Road 10 in Belcourt. Bruce’s bike was found in a ditch on May 28.
Bruce is 44 years old, has brown hair, is 5’3″ and weighs 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and Nike shoes. She has a tattoo of a four leaf clover with the name “Alisah” inside. The tatto is on the right side of her neck.
Search teams are being formed at the LeLe Pad in Belcourt, and those interested in aiding the search or who have information regarding Bruce’s whereabouts are asked to contact the Rolette County Sheriff’s Office or Belcourt Police Department.
The Turtle Mountain Tribe released a notice temporarily suspending drone and unmanned aircraft use on the reservation due to law enforcement using air support and bloodhounds in the ongoing search.
