NDDOT warns public of scam texts

BISMARCK – The North Dakota Department of Transportation has released a warning to the public regarding scam texts claiming to be from NDDOT or the Department of Motor Vehicles.

According to a statement from NDDOT, the messages may mention violations, fines or tolls, and include suspicious links to make payment in order to avoid various false penalties. The public is advised NDDOT does not send text messages about violations or fines.
