Plane pull raises funds for Make-A-Wish ND
WILLISTON – Six 20-person teams tested their strength in the inaugural Make-A-Wish North Dakota Plane Pull held at XWA Williston Basin International Airport in Williston Saturday, Aug. 16.
The six teams – CrossFit Vokse, Liberty Energy/Wolla Trucking, Overland Aviation, GO Wireline LLC, Magnum Services and XWA-Williston Basin International Airport – competed to see who could pull a Sun Country Airlines passenger jet for 100 feet the fastest.
Go Wireline LLC’s team won the event with a pull time of 26.06 seconds. Go Wireline LLC also won the first-place award for highest fundraising team with a total of $5,180.
The slowest team’s time was 35.86 seconds.
The event included a free lunch, showing of Disney’s “Planes” movie and plane rides.
