Miss Rodeo ND pageant begins in Medora
MEDORA – The Miss Rodeo North Dakota pageant begins today and continues through Saturday in Medora.
According to North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame information, the event includes official contestant introductions, a horsemanship competition, pageant brunch and concludes with the coronation on Saturday at noon at Tjaden Terrace, west of Medora.
Two special awards are part of the program: The Legacy of the Cowgirl Award and The Cowgirl Spirit Award. The Legacy of the Cowgirl Award is presented in honor of Rick Thompson, executive director of the N.D. Cowboy Hall of Fame, a lifelong advocate of preserving western heritage, particularly through media.
The pageant is being held during the N.D. Cowboy Hall of Fame’s 2025 Hall of Honorees Induction Weekend, also being held today through Saturday in Medora. The induction ceremony will be at 1 p.m. at Tjaden Terrace.
