Through the lens

Submitted Photo A solar eclipse occurs Monday, April 8, in northwestern North Dakota, where the maximum obscuration was 51% in Minot at 1:54 p.m. This shot was taken by Roger Riveland in Williston, which experienced a 48% coverage of the sun. Clouds made viewing difficult at times. The photo was taken with a digital camera using a green tinted welding helmet glass to darken the lens.
