Registration open for Teen Creative Writing Camp
The North Dakota State University English Department is taking applications for the sixth annual Teen Creative Writing Camp this summer. Students entering grades 7-12 are encouraged to participate, regardless of their skill level or location.
Session one will be held June 24-28, and session two will be held Aug. 5-9, with both sessions scheduled to last from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. A virtual attendance option is available.
Daily sessions include fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, fantasy, screenwriting, song writing and graphic novels. Students will learn from professional writers and educators from NDSU, North Dakota State College of Science and the University of North Dakota. The camp will culminate in a public reading.
New this year is a camp for students in grades 4-6, which will be held June 17-20 from 9 a.m. to noon each day, with in-person and virtual options.
A limited number of full and half scholarships are available. Scholarship and registration information is available from the NDSU English Department.
