Wyoming man injured when struck by vehicle

WILLISTON – A 23-year-old Dubois, Wyoming, man was injured when he was struck by a vehicle while walking on N.D. Highway 1804 on the east side of Williston Friday, June 12.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at 3:04 a.m., a 1993 GMC Sierra, driven by a 19-year-old man from Westby, Montana, was traveling east on Highway 1804 when it struck the Wyoming man who was walking in the roadway. The pedestrian sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Williston hospital, then flown to a Minot hospital. The Montana man was not wearing his seat belt. He is facing charges of criminal vehicular injury, DUI and minor in possession, according to the Highway Patrol.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
