CATHAY – A 60-year-old Fessenden man died in the crash of the tractor he was driving about six miles west of Cathay.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the driver was westbound on the 4800 block of Ninth Street Northeast when the 2021 Deutz-Fahr 6155 farm tractor left the road and entered the north ditch. The driver was ejected. The tractor continued through a farm field and came to rest at the edge of the field in the ditch. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene his name was not released yet.

The crash was reported on Monday and remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
