GARRISON – The Evening Hike Series returns to Fort Stevenson State Park throughout 2024.  Six evening hikes are planned throughout the year, as part of the park’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.

The next hike takes place on Feb. 24 with a candlelight hike under the full moon in February, known as the Snow Moon. This hike is self-guided, and park staff will provide candle luminaries to light the approximately one-mile trail, illuminated from 6-7 p.m. The hike is pet friendly, so well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome.  

Participants are invited to hike, cross country ski, snowshoe or kicksled their way along the trail. Snowshoes, Nordic skis and kicksled rentals are available. Visitors should contact the park office to reserve any rentals.  

Fort Stevenson State Park is located three miles south of Garrison.
