Sonesta International Hotels Corporation last week announced the grand opening of Sonesta Essential Minot at 3420 S. Broadway. With 102 guest rooms, the hotel is the first Sonesta Essential branded hotel in the state of North Dakota.

“We are excited to expand our portfolio with the addition of the Sonesta Essential Minot in North Dakota,” said Keith Pierce, Sonesta’s president of Franchise & Development. “Having successfully launched the Sonesta Essential brand earlier this year, this opening marks another milestone in our growth and another destination where Sonesta Travel Pass members can earn and use their points.”

Sonesta is the eighth largest hotel company, according to Smith Travel Research, with about 1,200 properties across around 15 brands in eight countries.
