Trinity receives grant for ambulance

AgCountry Farm Credit Services announced that Trinity Health Foundation will receive $20,000 from the Rural Community Grant Fund to assist with the purchase of an ambulance for its First Response Ground Team.

First Response Ground Ambulance currently has six ambulances, but with one available only for standby events, it is pursuing a 2021 Crestline Type 3 ambulance for expanded capability and to better serve the region with interfacility transports. The ambulance service responds to 11,000 calls annually, mainly in Ward County, but also responds to Advanced Life Support (ALS) intercept requests in McHenry, Mountrail, Renville, Bottineau, Burke and McLean counties.

“As the area’s only fully staffed ALS service providing service 24 hours a day seven days a week, they also support local fire, police and sheriff’s departments. An additional ambulance with newer technology will increase their efficiency and positively impact how they provide essential life-critical care in the community,” said Todd Erickson, senior vice president of Producer Markets with AgCountry.

AgCountry Farm Credit Services, Farm Credit Services of Mandan and AgriBank established the Rural Community Grant Fund to assist in the implementation and development of projects and programs in communities and rural areas in western North Dakota that have been impacted by mineral exploration.

The Rural Community Grant Fund is currently accepting applications for future funding requests. Interested parties can apply at AgCountry.com.
