Watford City woman injured in crash
NEW TOWN — A 34-year-old Watford City woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on N.D. Highway 1804, four miles north of New Town, on Saturday.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Heather Blackston, 34, driving a 2022 Ford F-150, was traveling east when the vehicle crossed into the westbound lane of travel and struck a Kenworth that was traveling westbound. The Ford came to rest in the eastbound lane. Blackston was ejected and suffered serious injuries. The driver of the Kenworth, Eric Danks, 31, New Town, was not injured in the crash. Blackston was transported by ambulance to Trinity Health in Minot.
It is not known if Blackston was wearing a seat belt. Danks was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation by the N.D. Highway Patrol.
