Mattie Jacobson, daughter of Tasha and Erik Jacobson of Douglas, received the Harry D. McGovern Scholarship at North Dakota State University in Fargo. The full-tuition scholarship recognizes students going into a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)-related major and their completion of two essays.

Jacobson will enter NDSU in the fall and major in biological sciences.
