Triston Walsh, Minot, is accused of pulling another man, who is a stranger to him, out of his vehicle and strangling him on Wednesday.

He is charged in district court in Minot with Class C felony aggravated assault.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the alleged victim said he had been parked outside a business. Walsh ran up to his car from 16th Street NW and asked him where he was going several times before Walsh attacked him. The alleged victim was able to put Walsh in a chokehold and break his hold. Walsh’s friend then broke up the fight.

Walsh allegedly admitted to police that he had attacked a random stranger but would not comment further.

Walsh was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charge on Thursday.
