A single-vehicle accident one-half mile south of Tioga resulted in the death of one man and serious injuries to another. According to a North Dakota Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred at 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

A 2003 Chevrolet Silverado entered the ditch and overturned multiple times. The driver and the passenger were ejected from the vehicle. Both were transported by ambulance to the Tioga Medical Center and later by air ambulance to Trinity Hospital in Minot.

The driver, a 24-year-old man from Tioga, died from injuries sustained in the crash. A 26-year-old male passenger, also from Tioga, sustained serious injuries. Neither man was wearing a seatbelt.

Names of those involved have not yet been released by the Highway Patrol.
