Winners of North Dakota State Fair Parade honored

Winners of the North Dakota State Fair Parade were presented with plaque awards on Tuesday at the Fairgrounds.

Jim Clifford, chairman of the parade, presented the awards. Clifford has been with the parade committee for 13 years, with 12 of those years as its chairman.

The parade awards are as follows:

– Grand Marshal Overall Winner: Minot High School Class of ’69.

The parade was held Saturday and had 170 entries.

All entries in the parade are not judged but only those requesting to be judged. Parade judges this year were Gabi Andrews, Dave Jackson, Lisa Genareo, Jake Lockrem and Mary Parton.

The parade was in memory of Loren Vannett, parade committee vice chairman for many years who died this spring.
