Surrey to hold special election

SURREY — The City of Surrey will hold a special election July 20 to fill two seats on the Surrey City Council that opened due to resignations last March.

Karla Walsh is running for term remaining on the Ward 1 seat, which expires in June 2024. She previously served on the council prior to a December 2019 recall election.

Aden Clark is running for the Ward 2 seat, which expires in June 2022.

The poll will be open in Surrey City Hall from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Surrey has a mayor and a six-member city board, with three members representing each of two wards.
