The Minot Public Library invites people of all ages to participate in the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge.

This year’s theme is Color Our World.

Minot Public Library is partnering with Ward County Public Library for an all-ages scavenger hunt through downtown Minot on Saturday, May 31, at Main Street Books from 2-4 p.m.

The Summer Reading Challenge will run from May 31 through July 29 and the goal is to read for 20 minutes every day. The more days you read, the greater your chance to win prizes. Aside from reading, there will be fun to be had at your local libraries, such escape rooms, summer camps, crafting, STEM, Story Time programs and more.

For every day of reading you log, you’ll get a token you can use to voice your opinion on the Minot Public Library’s new mascot. Participants will get to choose the character that represents the library by reading their favorite books.
