Petition filed to revoke bond for Dequan Wells, Detroit, Mich., in intent to deliver oxycodone case

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Dequan Ichelle Wells, 23, of Detroit, Mich., who is charged in district court in Mountrail County with Class B felony intent to deliver oxycodone in Parshall.

Wells failed to show up for required weekly drug testing while he was out on bond, according to an affidavit filed with the court by Mountrail County State’s Attorney Wade Enget,

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Wells was one of eight people detained on Dec. 21, 2020 after a caller reported that one person had died of a drug overdose after a group had purchased oxycodone pills at 116 1st Avenue SW in Parshall. Wells told authorities that he had been staying at the Parshall residence since March or early April 2020 and had been selling oxycodone pills for $60 apiece that he had purchased for $30 apiece from someone in Mandaree. Wells was carrying 71 suspected oxycodone or fentanyl pills in a fanny pack on his person and had $10,969 in cash in the fanny pack. Wells called the illegal drug sales “regs.”

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Jan. 28 in district court in Mountrail County.
