Todd William Solberg, 38, Minot, was sentenced on Friday to two years in prison, all suspended but the 75 days he’s already served in the Ward County Jail, and two years of supervised probation for punching a woman in the head and strangling her two or three times for up to eight seconds each time during a domestic altercation on June 22.

He received concurrent sentences on a Class C felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and a Class A misdemeanor charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Judge Richard Hagar also ordered Solberg to obtain an evaluation for domestic violence offenders and follow through on any recommended treatment and to pay $1,100 in court costs.
