Matthew Allen McClure, 23, Minot, pleaded guilty last week threatening to kill a store employee who stopped him for shoplifting $79.91 worth of alcohol on Thursday, May 29. He is scheduled to be sentenced for the Class A misdemeanor on Wednesday.

McClure was also charged with Class B misdemeanor shoplifting in Minot Municipal Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, McClure told the employee he would put a bullet in his head. The incident occurred at 2015 North Broadway, which is the address of The Landing Bar and Bottle Shop, according to the citation filed with the court.
