Minot police are investigating a fatal hit and run accident that took place at 10:27 p.m. Wednesday night at 17th Avenue and South Broadway.

According to police, an 18-year-old male was victim was struck by a dark-colored burgundy or red pickup truck that immediately fled the scene. The victim was taken to Trinity Hospital for treatment but he died shortly afterwards.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

Police are following up all leads for the incident. People are asked to call 852-0111 with any information. Information leading to the arrest and conviction of the offender may result in a reward of up to $1000.00.
