The State Highway Patrol has identified a 41-year-old Alexander woman who was killed in a head-on crash seven miles north of Alexander on Thursday as Rebecca Lewis.

Lewis was driving south on Highway 85 when she crossed the line and struck a northbound vehicle driven by Aubry Davis Webster, 34, of Watford City, head on.

Lewis was killed and was dead at the scene of the accident. The other driver was seriously injured and was airlifted to Trinity Hospital in Minot for treatment.

Both women were wearing seat belts.

The weather was foggy and the road was wet at the time of the crash, according to the Patrol.

The accident happened at 10:23 a.m. Thursday.
