Todd Behm, Minot, receives two years supervised probation, deferred sentence for contributing to delinquency of a minor

Todd Michael Behm, 48, received a deferred imposition of sentence for two years of supervised probation last week for Class A misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor and Class A misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine. Behm hosted a party at his home on March 23 where minors drank and used marijuana and other drugs were present.

Court records show that the state dropped other charges, including Class A misdemeanor possession of cocaine, Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana and Class B misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Behm was sentenced to 360 days in jail, all suspended but the one day he already served, and the two years of supervised probation. The charges will be dismissed if he successfully completes probation.

Behm was also ordered to pay $325 in court costs.

Thirty people were detained after the Ward County Sheriff’s Department obtained a search warrant for Behm’s residence after they had earlier responded to a noise complaint and smelled marijuana. The youngest of the people present was a 15-year-old girl. The search of the residence turned up marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, and alcohol and beer. Authorities found a baggie of crystal meth in a sock drawer of the walk-in closet of the master bathroom.
