VA holds mental health summit in Minot

More than 200 people are expected to attend the annual Veterans Administration Mental Health Summit being held at the Grand Hotel in Minot today.

Those attending include providers and social workers in the mental health care community, clergy, elected offices, city government, county veteran service offices, national veteran service organization, tribal representatives, law enforcement, public and private community support agencies, universities, National Guard and active-duty military.

Topics to be covered at the summit include public health approach to suicide prevention, VA regional community services, VA substance use disorder treatments and veterans resources for communities.
