Dominique Alfaro, Fargo, charged with actual physical control with 2-year-old in car

Dominique Selene Alfaro, 22, Fargo, is accused of being drunk and in actual physical control of a motor vehicle with her 2-year-old son asleep in the back seat in Minot on July 5.

Alfaro is charged with a Class A misdemeanor in district court in Minot. Alfaro is also charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Alfaro and Jayden Michael Albertson, 25, Fargo, had been arguing. Police found Alfaro seated behind the wheel of a vehicle parked in the parking lot of a condominium complex with Albertson standing by the driver’s side window. Albertson and Alfaro had been arguing because the man wanted to go to a friend’s house and she did not because her son was in the car and she wanted to go to bed. Police found several marijuana grinders, a glass smoking pipe with suspected marijuana residue, multiple baggies containing marijuana, and several small empty bottles of liquor scattered throughout the car. Alfaro had a blood alcohol content reading of 0.116.

Albertson pleaded guilty on July 8 in district court in Minot to Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, all suspended but the three days he already served, and 360 days of unsupervised probation.

Alfaro is scheduled to make an initial appearance in court on July 22.
