Flag Day activities planned at former Governors’ Mansion

BISMARCK – On Friday, June 14, the Former Governors’ Mansion State Historic Site is hosting Flag Day events from 1 to 2 p.m. The event is free and open to all ages, with activities geared especially toward children. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Outdoor activities include making and decorating pinwheels and flags, followed by a small parade around the block. Children may bring drums, kazoos, or other instruments for the parade. Lemonade and cookies will be served. The event will be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather.?

Summer hours at the former Governors’ Mansion State Historic Site, 320 E. Avenue B, Bismarck, are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, noon-4 p.m. For more information, call 328-9528.
