Walk to raise awareness for missing & murdered indigenous women & girls

A walk will be held Sunday, May 5, beginning at noon at Oak Park, Minot, for National Awareness Day for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

The walk is open to the public and sponsored by the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation Office of Vice Chairman Randy Phelan who also operates the West Segment Minot Satellite Office located in downtown Minot.

Those participating should meet in the west parking lot at Oak Park. Participants are encouraged to wear red whether it’s a shirt, hat, bandana or another item, but it is not required.

Lunch will be available for participants after the walk in a covered shelter.
