Loaner life jackets at Upper Souris NWR

Loaner life jacket stations have been placed this year at two locations on Lake Darling, at the Spillway and Grano boat ramps. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service partnered with the North Dakota Game and Fish
Department for the program. “They are all youth life jackets. We want our kids to be safe on the water,” said Brian Schaffer. NDG&F outdoor
education project administrator. “It provides an opportunity for an extra
person to hop in the boat, a way to receive a life jacket at the boat ramp.” Lake Darling is located within the Upper Souris NWR northwest of Minot.
