Minot AFB personnel deployed worldwide

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE – Many personnel assigned to Minot Air Force Base also can be deployed to places all over the world.

Currently, about 600 personnel from Minot Air Force Base are deployed at 13 locations around the world, according to a base spokesman.

The last official day of Red Flag, a large-scale exercise at Nellis AFB in Nevada, was this past week. Members of the 69th Bomb Squadron, a B-52 unit at Minot AFB, have been participating in the Red Flag exercise.

Red Flag is the U.S. Air Force’s premier air-to-air combat training exercise. Participants often include both United States and allied nations’ combat air forces. The exercise provides aircrews the experience of multiple, intensive air combat sorties in the safety of a training environment, according to Nellis AFB information.
