Edgewood announces expansion with Minot purchase

Edgewood Real Estate Investment Trust has announced its acquisition of Emerald Court Memory Care in Minot. It has entered into a long-term agreement to lease the community to Edgewood Healthcare of Grand Forks.

Renovations are underway to refresh and upgrade portions of the secure memory care building that provides specialized care for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. The community, offering accommodations for up to 28 residents, will be renamed Edgewood Memory Care and will be the second Edgewood location in Minot providing memory care services. Edgewood Memory Care will become the tenth Edgewood senior living location in North Dakota.

Services from the CaringEdge division of Edgewood Healthcare will also be provided in-house at the Edgewood Memory Care community. CaringEdge of Minot will offer home health services to include skilled nursing, nursing assistance, therapy services (physical, occupational and speech therapy), palliative care and hospice services.

“We are pleased to welcome the Emerald Court residents, families and staff to the Edgewood family,” said Russell G. Kubik, president of Edgewood Healthcare in a news release. “It’s easy to see this community will be a great addition to Edgewood. We’re confident our management group can ensure high-quality, consistent and innovative services to the citizens of Minot and the surrounding area, now and in the future. Our reputation for providing excellent senior services in a safe, home-like environment will serve area residents well.”
