A preliminary hearing is scheduled Thursday for Kirk Monte Wilkie, 29, Devils Lake, who is accused of stealing a 2006 Jeep Patriot from the M&H Gas Station in Minot on Nov. 5.

Wilkie is also accused of fleeing from police at speeds up to 112 mph, heading toward Velva. He was eventually stopped and detained.

Wilkie is charged in district court in Minot with theft of property, a Class B felony, fleeing a police officer in a vehicle, a Class C felony, reckless driving, actual physical control of a motor vehicle – drugs, and driving with a suspended license, all Class B misdemeanors.
