James Clarence Newcombe, 43, who is listed on the state registry as a high risk sex offender, has moved to 1730 1st Street SW, No. 5, in Minot, according to Minot police.

According to the registry, Newcombe was convicted in Nebraska in 1993, when he was 18, of molesting a 3-year-old girl. He was convicted in Cass County in North Dakota in 2007, when he was 31, of molesting a 9-year-old girl. He was sentenced to prison for the gross sexual imposition charge.

Newcombe has registered as required.
