One person was killed in a single-vehicle accident on ND Highway 1804 two miles north of New Town. The accident was discovered at 8:16 a.m. Tuesday but, according to a North Dakota Highway Patrol report, is believed to have happened much earlier.

The deceased, a 23-year-old man from Kooskia, Idaho whose name was not released pending notification of next of kin, was the driver of a northbound 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 that failed to negotiate a left-hand curve.

The vehicle went off the shoulder, became airborne and overturned. The driver was ejected and died at the scene.
