Bringing a permanent stop for designer to Minot

Jax and Henley find final spot in the mall

Jax and Henley opened up a store in their forever spot this fall. They are now placed next to Bath and Body Works in the Dakota Square Mall.

What started out as an online business in 2014, grew to a brick and mortar store in September 2016. Jax and Henley has since jumped around Dakota Square Mall, searching for their placement amongst the other shops and stops in the buildings. Now the shop has found their final placement and opened its doors for customers to see and shop.

Started by Connor Koerbitz, Jax and Henley is a store with a focus on designer handbags. They work to offer a large variety of options with a variety of prices in popular designer brands such Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Coach and many more.

Alongside it all, Jax and Henley offers a variety of women’s clothing with a range of sizes, jewelry, home accents and other gift items.

“We are excited to have our official store open and being able to bring something unique to Minot,” said Koerbitz.

Koerbitz runs Jax and Henley alongside some of his family. His sister, Natalie Koerbitz, is vice president. She helps through general management and human resources. His mom, Kimberly Koerbitz, helps manage associates and supply management as the general manager. She is also the biggest cheerleader for the business, according to the Jax and Henley site.

Working alongside the Koerbitz is the marketing manager, Katherine Lembke brings a variety of ideas for designs and marketing work for the business.

Koerbitz brought his business to Minot after visiting relatives in the area. He noticed an opportunity and took it.

“I noticed that no one was doing designer handbags in Minot and I just thought it would be a great opportunity,” he explained about his expansion from online to a Minot store.

He also said starting in Minot was a good idea. With the family and connections he has it was a good starting point in terms of employees and getting the store set up.

Now that the final placement of the store has been decided and opened, Koerbitz said he is both relieved and excited.

“We finally have a store that looks how we want it to and represents our brand,” Koerbitz said. “It’s very open and welcoming.”

It also allows them to have the space they need giving them the opportunity to offer unique events alongside their designer bags.
