Come join the fun at Fall Fest
The Little Chicago Pub District downtown is helping welcome fall with a weekend full of activities in Downtown Minot on Friday and Saturday.
The festivities begin Friday in front of The Spot at 6 2nd Street NE, with a 21 and up street dance with Frankly Scarlett. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the band starts at 7 p.m. The evening is going to be complete with beer gardens, where one can find both beer and spirits.
Fun on a Bun Hot Dog Stand will be serving up Chicago-style hotdogs and The Spot will have sloppy joes available for purchase. The band will play until 1 a.m. Entry is $5 and part of the proceeds will go to benefit the Salvation Army and the Men’s Winter Refuge.
Saturday is Family Day. Starting at 10 a.m., people are welcome to come downtown in front of The Spot for an enticing array of activities. A Kids Zone will be set up in the lot across from the Spot, complete with a bounce house, carnival-style games, and a painting activity by Jellybean Street ND. N8s Bin Cleaning Services will have his truck on the premises to demonstrate how the pressure washing works and allow kids to take a peek. The Minot PD may also be available.
There will be a vendor show going on in the Spot parking lot, featuring many local vendor favorites along with a booth with glitter tattoos for purchase for the kids. With Room Coffee will be serving up hot french press coffee, so you can sip and browse vendors like Scentsy, Norwex, Dash of Fizz, LulaRoe, Gymmagic, Absolute Style Boutique, and Miss V’s Sweets.
Food vendors will be available including The Cheesesteak Factory, Fun on a Bun Hot Dog Stand, The Shack-Hawaiian Shaved Ice, and Rock n Roll Tacos. A beer garden will be set up in a separate area that is housing the cornhole tournament that will be going on. Live music is scheduled all day including Josh Herman Music, Myles Barcomb, and Savannah Quinn. The family festivities will end at 6 p.m. with the evening rounding out with food, drinks, friends, and DJ/Karaoke provided by DC Entertainment. Entrance into the Family Day is $5/adults and kids are free.
Tickets can be purchased in Eventbrite for all events. There is a contest going on for those who purchase the adult Family Day tickets. Two winners will receive a $10 gift card to With Room Coffee, Minot’s newest coffee & plants shop.
The public is encouraged to come down to enjoy the ambiance and festivities. It is the hope of the Little Chicago Pub District that this would be an event that everyone can enjoy to celebrate the end of summer and arrival of fall.
Minot Air Force Base and out of town guests are invited to come “Stay and Play” with a special room rate made available by Baymont Inn & Suites. Guests can take advantage of a $59/+tax rate when they mention the “LCPD Fall Fest.” Rooms subject to availability.
