Quilts, quilts, more quilts
More than 200 quilts in Minot festival
Quilts of various and numerous designs and talented quilters from all over including Canada are at the Grand Hotel in Minot today through Sunday for the 25th annual Minot Prairie Quilt Festival.
As of Thursday afternoon, the tally of quilts in the show numbered 207 as volunteers prepared the many quilts for display and vendors prepared their booths. Judging of the quilts started Wednesday night.
Bev Cushing, festival chair, said as of March 1, 40 quilts had been entered in the festival, with that number growing to more than 200 as of this week. Among the many quilts about 16 to 20 quilts were expected from Canadian quilters.
