Kenmare man charged with continuous sexual abuse of child
A 35-year-old Kenmare man has been charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child, a Class AA felony carrying a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole.
Tristan Eugene Enck made an initial appearance in district court in Minot last week. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Nov. 29.
The probable cause affidavit in the case has been sealed. According to the bond order, Judge Stacy Louser set bond last week at $100,000 for Enck and ordered him to stay away from two children, a boy born in 2002 and a girl born in 2003, as well as two adults. Enck is also not allowed contact with any other children under age 18 or allowed to go to places frequented by minors.
The crime allegedly took place in March 2017, according to court records, but the charge was not filed until Oct. 26.
A preliminary hearing in the case has been scheduled for Nov. 29.
