Would you survive being chased by zombies?

Find out Sept. 16 at 4:30. The YWCA is hosting its second annual Zombie Run. You can sign up to be a runner or a zombie. Registration goes until the day of the event.

For runners, the cost for registration is $30 for adult runners and $25 for runners under 12. Zombie registration is $30 with makeup provided. Registration on the day of the run becomes $35 for adults and $30 for under 12.

The run will take place at Oak Park starting at 4 p.m. All participants need to be checked in by 5:30 p.m. From 4:30-8:30 p.m., there will be vendors, food trucks, booths, a free photo booth, and much more. The run will start at 6 p.m. and will be flag football style. Runners will try to keep the zombies away from their flags. At the end of the run, if you still have a flag, you survived. If you lost them all, you’re infected.

Before the run, those above 21 years of age can do the ID check and beer sales so that after the run, they can go straight to the Beer Garden by the Tap Room and leave all IDs and money in a safe place.
