If temperatures are to be hotter than usual this summer, the new Radio City Splash Pad, now open, might be an even more popular place to go than expected.

Hours for the splash pad are noon to 8 p.m. daily.

The splash pads will not be closed next week when planned water restrictions are in force because the splash pads use filtered/recycled water, according to Minot Park District officials.

Radio City is a newly renovated park at 37th Avenue SW and Second Street. Updates at the park include an additional playground, a basketball court, an improved practice T-ball field and an additional picnic shelter.

“We expect these renovations to have an immediate positive impact to our city and surrouding areas,” said Ron Merritt, executive director of the Minot Park District.
