Serra Club raised $11,000 at benefit event

About $11,000 was raised by the Serra Club of North Central North Dakota at the Big Smoke event held in Minot as a benefit for seminarians and others in religious formation, according to a press release from Grace Fisher. According to Michael Ruelle of Minot, president of the club, the money is being distributed to four religious entities. The largest sum, $8,700, will go to the seminarians of the Bismarck Catholic Diocese. Other recipients, each to receive $700, are the Benedictine Sisters of Annunciation Priory in Bismarck, the Discalced Carmelite Nuns at Hague, and the brothers at ...

Minot Christian Women’s Club celebrates 50 years at Aug. 14 luncheon

Minot Christian Women’s club will host a special nondenominational luncheon from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at Minot’s Grand Hotel. The event will honor the club’s 50-year history as well as its guiding leadership program, Stonecroft Ministries, which is celebrating 80 years. The event will feature special keynote speaker Cheryl Davis, Stonecroft Ministries’ Vice President of Women’s Connections. Price is $13/person and includes a stuffed pork chop lunch. Groundbreaking ceremony at Metigoshe Ministries Sunday

LAKE METIGOSHE – A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Sunday at 10 a.m. for an approximately $3.5 million addition to Metigoshe Ministries’ Lakeside Christian Center. Metigoshe Ministries is located at 165 Lake Loop Road E., in the southeast corner of Lake Metigoshe near Bottineau.
