St. Paul Lutheran in Garrison to hold German supper and silent auction Oct. 6

St. Paul Lutheran Church, located at 622 5th Street NE in Garrison, will hold a German supper and silent auction from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 6. The supper will include knoepfla, kraut and sausage, knoepfla soup, German chocolate cake, and kuechen bars. Free will offerings will be taken to benefit Camp of the Cross Ministries. For delivery, call 463-2019 before 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 6. Deliveries will be made at 4 p.m.

Open house for Pastor Larry Borud on Oct. 6 at Northland Harvest Church

Northland Harvest Church will hold an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Northland Harvest Church, located at 140 Souris Drive, in Minot, to honor Pastor Larry Borud for his years of faithful service. There will be a short program at 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Minot Christian Women’s Luncheon on Oct. 9

The Minot Christian Women’s Luncheon Happy Harvest Gathering will be held from 12:15 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Grand Hotel. The cost is $13 inclusive. A silent auction of garden produce, baked goods, crafts, gift baskets, quilted pieces, home canned jams, and pickles will be held. People are asked to bring new items for inclusion in the auction no later than 11:30 a.m. that day. VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis has defrocked a Chilean priest who was a central character in the global sex abuse scandal rocking his papacy, invoking his "supreme" authority to stiffen an earlier sentence because of the "exceptional amount of damage" the priest's crimes had caused. Installation service for Rev. Dr. Richard Davis at Our Savior Lutheran

A special installation service is planned for Sunday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. in the Sanctuary at Our Savior Lutheran Church, located at 3705 11th Street SW in Minot. The Rev. Dr. Richard Davis will be installed as Intentional Interim Minister for Our Savior Lutheran Church. Following the service will be a potluck. Attendees are asked to bring a favorite dish to share and to put a “GF” on it if the dish is gluten free.

Minot’s Our Lady of Grace to hold breakfast to benefit St. Gianna Maternity Home, Warsaw

A Respect Life Fair and free will offering breakfast will be held Sunday, Oct. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 707 16th Ave SW, Minot. Knights of Columbus Council 4894 hosts the breakfast, with proceeds going to St. Gianna’s Maternity Home in Warsaw.
