Peace Powwow set for July 6 in Dunseith

DUNSEITH – The first International Indigenous Peace Powwow will be held Monday, July 6, at the new arbor at the Little Shell powwow grounds in Dunseith. The powwow precedes a tribal flag raising and Indigenous Peace Symposium at the International Peace Garden on Friday, July 11, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The peace powwow will follow the annual Turtle Mountain Chief Little Shell Memorial Powwow, which starts on Friday, July 3, and runs through Sunday, July 5.
