WILLISTON -- Experience the fort in a whole new light during the annual "Ghost Walk" on Saturday, Oct. 10, 6-8 p.m. at Fort Buford State Historic Site near Williston. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
The "Ghost Walk," presented by the Fort Buford Sixth Infantry Regimental Association, explores the site's lesser-known stories, lingering mysteries and eerie atmosphere after dark. By lantern light, hear tales drawn from documented events, frontier hardships, unexplained encounters and the people who once lived and worked at the post. This experience is focused on storytelling rather than jump scares. Please come dressed for the weather and bring a flashlight if you wish. The boardwalks will be illuminated by solar lights.
This event is part of the ND250 commemoration celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.
