EPIC Events adds to Høstfest staff

EPIC Events has added Alexis Meyer as Norsk Høstfest coordinator and Nicki Fix as Norsk Høstfest Operations. Meyer received her bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University in tourism development and management with certificates in special event management and convention sales and meeting planning. The Høstfest board of directors recently hired Minot- and West Fargo-based EPIC Events to handle entertainment, sponsorships, design and logistical arrangements for the return of the event in September 2022.

First Western promotes four employees

First Western Bank & Trust has announced its recent promotions. Amy Makeef has been promoted to chief credit officer. She is a native of Ryder and graduated from North Shore High School. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Minot State University and a master’s degree from Liberty University. Makeef joined First Western in June 2021. Lignite Energy Council names vice president

Mike Holmes was named executive vice president of research & development for the Lignite Energy Council and retains his role as technical advisor of the Lignite Research Program under the North Dakota Industrial Commission. Holmes joined the Lignite Council in 2017 following more than 15 years with the Energy & Environmental Research Center in Grand Forks.
