Pioneer Village to host car, tractor show

BURLINGTON – The Ward County Historical Society will hold two days of family fun on Aug. 5 and 6 at the Pioneer Village Museum Car and Tractor Show.

The grand opening of the Norwich Jail will take place, with tours provided. A presentation of the jail history will be given on Saturday at 1 p.m. Visitors can tour the new auto building housing vehicles, including new donations.

Children’s activities will take place both afternoons. There also will be food trucks, blacksmithing and stationary engine demonstrations, kiddie tractor rides and flea market.

To reserve a spot to show off a car, truck, tractor, snowmobile, engine or to participate in the flea market, call 839-0785.

There is no entrance fee but a free-will offering will be taken. The museum is located six miles west of Minot along U.S. Highway 2/52.
