The Taube Museum of Art Main Gallery is seeking entries for their 12th annual Small Works Exhibit and Auction. The small works exhibition is scheduled to be on display from July 23 through Aug. 30. The deadline to take part in the exhibit is Saturday, July 13 at 4 p.m.

To take part in the Small Works Exhibit and Auction, artists must be 18 years or older and must produce original works. Members of the Taube may submit an unlimited number of pieces. Non-members are limited to three.

To meet the Small Works criteria, pieces submitted must be two dimensional works with a maximum size of 80 square inches including the frame or three-dimensional works that don’t exceed 8 inches by 8 inches by 8 inches. Each framed entry must be ready to hang with wire hangers or saw tooth hangers. Plastic frames are not acceptable.

All work submitted must be available for purchase. Not For Sale work will not be accepted.

The Taube Museum of Art will be accepting a variety of different media for the Small Works Exhibit and Auction. These include collage, digital techniques, drawings, fiber arts, glass works, jewelry, metal, mixed media, paintings, pastels, photography, pottery, prints, sculptures, wood and everything in between.

Items to be submitted can be mailed or hand delivered as long as they are received by July 13 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mailed items may be sent to Taube Museum of Art at 2 N. Main St., Minot, ND 58703.

For the auction portion of the Small Works Exhibit and Auction, interested buyers can bid directly at the Taube Museum or online at their website or Facebook page. Art buyers also have the option to purchase a piece at the Buy It Now price and take the piece home right away rather than having to wait until the close of the exhibition.

A portion of the auction proceeds will support the Taube Museum of Art, a non-profit organization, with the rest to the artist.
