Construction will be starting soon for the new African Plains Building. The initial goal for the building is to provide that space we have discussed on many occasions for the giraffes to roam when the weather is not conducive for them to be outside. Additions to the project will include what’s called a TAMER and an aviary. While most of the cost for the building was contributed by a single, anonymous donor, we are still working on raising the funds necessary for the TAMER and aviary.
